The Kornati archipelago boasts 147 islands, islets and reefs, stretching from Dugi otok to Žirje. The National Park encompasses 89 islands, and the name stems from the biggest one – Kornat. Kornati islands are unique thanks to its beauty and attractiveness, for it is hard to match such number of islands, islets, reefs and bays. Some traits of the island are scarce vegetation, crystal clear waters, no watercourse, a large number of bays, rocks and reefs. Kornati are not inhabited, so they make an ideal place for yachtsmen and those longing for a clear blue sea.
